Sophie Le Clanche
A young woman passionate about ethology (the scientific study of animal behavior), she spent years of observation, Beaux-Arts courses, and studies as a painter/decorator. As is a mature artist, her paintings are hyper-realist in technique, yet also symbolic and full of humor and tenderness, where the imaginary and the dream meet and beings from different worlds are side by side, but never really totally together, as our animal friends are not capable of speaking. But take a good look at their expressions, the look Sophie captures in their eyes, and their attitudes...
Sophie Le Clanche shows regularly in galleries in France, but it was serious art collectors who recognized the importance of her work before the general public was aware of her.
She recently won the first prize for "Love At First Sight"
