Vally Elyane

Elyane VALLY visited many different artists’ studios and studied primarily the « Marthenot method » for a period of seven years. During this time, she married painting with music, as she became aware of the effects that music could provoke in her visual imagination. Her intention is to enrich her work with such essential musical notions as tempo, rhythm, and the combination of tones.
She currently lives in Beauce, where between classes she organizes for
children and adults, and her own artistic creation, her time is completely
devoted to painting. Women and still life subjects are the main themes of
her work. She enjoys playing with perspective and likes to upset the normal
organization of forms in order to create a new balance, leading to a new
architecture that seems elaborate but is in perpetual movement. Her palette is rich with color. She uses many primary tones, but to add interest to these dense colors, she also adds subtle nuances that fit with the subject at hand.
Light sparkles in a multiple of facets, veritable mosaics, that are animated in a chromatic dance, like the elements of a puzzle that fit together to create the primary subject, a woman. VALLY has participated in many art shows, including the GMAC in Paris, and has been honored with numerous awards.

There is something else striking the spectator contemplating Vally works : their brillance : aesthetic choice of course , shared with the fauvist of course. The brillane of a canvas paradoxically also plays on black as an absolute counterpoint , to make the color flow all their light. Finally the brillance of a canvas , and this is were Vally the strengh of her instinct , assume that the impulsive intensity comes before rational intensity. »
